ABOUT TAILTAMERS...and how
it came to be...
My name is Christie Hale.  I live in the sprawling Metropolis of Bridge
City Texas pop. approx 9000.  I have been involved with dogs from a
very young age.  I believe I attended my first dog show in a stroller with
my grandparents.  My grandfather traveled America showing the
Magnificent Rhodesian Ridgeback Dog.  I learned from the master.  He
titled numerous dogs to their Championships.  He taught me the
patience and character that is sometimes missing from the show ring
today.  He is now retired, although still has dogs.  My other role model
and mentor is my father, Edward Morgan.  He breeds, trains and loves
the Beagle.  He trains these dogs for Beagling or Field Trialing.  This
is very difficult task to master for a dog.  It seems it should be quite
natural, but there are rules that the dogs don't come with genetically.
This man encouraged my love for dogs.  If you ask him about it, he just
seems to remember all the strays that were magically attracted to me
that I could just not LIVE WITHOUT......DADDDYYYY
PLLLEAASSEE!!  He understood and I had several that made their
way to a better life.   So, about 12 years ago I became a Paramedic.  A
job which although mentally and physically challenging at times, gives
me a great feeling that I make a difference in this world.  I had a
partner that had a German Shepherd.  Of course, his name is Tin Tin.
I loved the stories he told me about drug busts and all the excitement.
I just had to have one.  Well I got one.  Her name was Engleweiss Von
Polizehaus she was a Narcotics Dog that didn't make the cut....   She
was the epitome of her namesake: An Angel.  She she taught me that
dogs can have human qualities...they can be your best friend---and
they can work.  Engle untimately had severe hip dysplasia and was
euthanized after several grueling years.  She was the best dog I have
ever owned.  She was my best friend.  I swore I would never go
through that again.  Well, never say never!!!  I recently got arrived at
the decision that I was at a stage in my life where I had the time and
energy to devote myself back to my true love....DOGS!!!  My husband
was thrilled and so were my kids.  I bought Eros- and we are in the
process of proceeding through our Schutzhund Titles.  This is a very
labor and time intensive process.  In less than six months we have
accomplished our first hurdle----  We have achieved our BH.  Which
essentially is a Temperment Test.  Unlike AKC- which has a version
similar.  The BH is much more difficult.  I am having the time of my life.
I also aquired Henrike Vom Baruther Land - aka Harmony.  She is
more show than work and will be seen in the show ring.  Even more
recently I have aquired Diva- another Show/ Work prospect. We have
extremely high expectations of Diva.  Well back to the point.....
Throughout my life.... people have noticed my dogs and have always
commented on how they behave, tricks, etc.  I have taught many dogs
over the years.....  Most people are amazed of what their dog can
accomplish.   They always seem so surprised and I often hear....How
did you get him to do that????    My answer is "I just do"..  I takes time
and patience and the ability to see and hear and feel what the dog is
feeling at precise moments.  Many people said "You should train
dogs".  I always said I didn't have the time, and who would I train....etc.
But about a year ago....I did have the time.   So, I am back to my one
true love- Dogs.  I truly enjoy the time I spend and the
accomplishments with either myself or someone else's dogs'.   It gives
me that oohh that feels good thing...    So here I am....training
dogs...that brings me to now!!!  If you would like to contact me
regarding training please feel free.  I am also available for little
questions you may have.  Please feel free....I love talking about
dogs....regardless of the breed.

Thanks

Christie Hale
